Overview

HELM is an application that allows users to create flexible dashboards to interact with data stored by OpenNMS. HELM works with Grafana, an analytics platform, to display information like alarms, outages, and key performance indicators.

To leverage all of the features HELM has to offer, you’ll need to be familiar with both OpenNMS and Grafana. In-depth documentation about OpenNMS and Grafana is beyond the scope of this guide, but check out the following for a primer:

Consider taking the time to decide what information you want to include in the dashboard and how you want to organize it. Planning your dashboard can make HELM setup easier.
